Finally! The snow has melted, the sun is shining, and hopefully the pollen doesn’t have you down. One of our favorite things about the Spring is that it reminds you that everything is full of life. Gone are the days of hot soup and bundling up and hello to shorts, light sweaters, and refreshing drinks! Ginger Lemon Green Tea

Ingredients

3 cups filtered water

Raw ginger, minced

Loose leaf green tea

4 lemon slices

Juice of a lemon

3 sprigs of mint leaves

Honey (to taste)

Instructions

In a small pot or tea kettle, bring to boil unfiltered water, lemon juice, lemon slices, ginger, tea, and mint leaves.

Add honey to taste

Let cool for 5 minutes

Enjoy!

Strawberry Julep

Ingredients

2 parts Maker’s Mark Bourbon (or your bourbon of choice)

2 fresh strawberries

1 part simple syrup

6 mint leaves

1 part fresh lemon juice

Instructions

Muddle strawberries, mint leaves, and simple syrup in mixing glass

Add bourbon and lemon juice and fill shaker with ice

Shake well and strain into a martini glass

Ingredients

1 Avocado (peeled, sliced, pitted)

1 cup coconut water

2 cups fresh spinach

1 cup fresh Kale, de-stemmed

1 banana, sliced

1/2 cup pineapples, cubed

1 teaspoon parsley flakes

Juice of one lime

Tablespoon of honey

Instructions

In your blender or juicer, add coconut water, avocado, spinach, kale, banana, pineapple, parsley flakes and blend until smooth. Add line juice and honey and blend for additional 30 seconds.

Enjoy!
