10 Great Reads For National Read A Book Day

“A great book should leave you with many

It is that time of year again (and personally one of my favorite days)- National Read a Book Day! I like to think of this special day as one where all readers and writers alike unite and rejoice in the magic of the written word on paper. This is a day where we can read with a group, start a reading or writing club, share our own pieces, host a book exchange- I mean, the possibilities are endless! This is the perfect day to just kick back and relax.

Reading is known to have many benefits, not only does it improve vocabulary, memory and concentration, reading is an essential skill that helps reduce stress. It’s a wonderful way to “visit” other places, learn about different cultures and travel back in time.

Reading is magical!

So instead of turning on the radio, binging on Netflix, or checking our phone every 14 seconds for the latest celebrity feuds, let us curl up with a favorite book! Whip out our ENOS (or hammocks), head outside to a nice open-area and enjoy some much-deserved peace and quiet.

The following are great books to inspire you to READ this month… Come on, you know you wanna! Get out there and treat yourself.
