Event Story: Ladies Who Brunch ATL presents Hollywood Glam Business Seminar

You know what’s exciting about being able to work with our clients Ladies Who Brunch ATL? You not only get to see their movement in action, but you also get to be a part of it on the most intimate of levels.

Ladies Who Brunch: Atlanta is a global women’s empowerment movement for current and aspiring entrepreneurial women to connect, gather and knowledge share over a brunch in a metropolitan city.

Ladies Who Brunch AT:

They started their movement in Atlanta. It was a literal dream for co-founders Bianca Rush and Dayy Jones. Their dream was to empower other women to live out their dreams. After a year of major success in their market and inspiring other groups to host similar experiences, Ladies Who Brunch: Atlanta set their sights on the glitz and glam of Hollywood.

Our challenge was to design an event that was glamorous enough for the ladies of Los Angeles and couple it with the Charm of the Southern style brunch while sharing valuable entrepreneurial advice in a panel discussion.



The opportunity for us began just after the success of the Royal Tea Seminar in Atlanta. The girls wanted to take their idea and expand it beyond the south and the Midwest. They had their sights set on LA.

Taking nods from the red carpets of the 1940s and paying tribute to the under served African American starlets who paved the way for some of the very notable actresses and entertainers we know today.


When guests arrived, they were greeted by a marquee displaying ‘Ladies Who Brunch: Atlanta presents Hollywood Glam.’ A red carpet graced their feet as they entered the beautiful Beyond the Stars Palace in Glendale, California. The décor, inspired by the illustrious movie houses of the 1940s made guests feel as if they were those Hollywood starlet get their close up.

As guests entered the lobby space of Beyond the Stars, they got the chance for lights! Camera! Action! behind the lens of our photo booth vendor, The Happen Photobooth. They provided our guests with a glittering sequin backdrop and plenty of props to showcase the many characters in their story.


The aroma emitting from the theatre enticed all of our starlets to find their place and prepare themselves for the Southern Style brunch catered by Something Good 2 Eat. With servings of chicken and waffles, delicious pastries, mouth watering bacon and sausage, our ladies filled their plates and opened their minds to the delicious discussion to be had.

When guests took their seats, each table was decorated with a black tablecloth and adorned with gorgeous florals co-created by our floral vendors, The Brand Florist. Burgundy flowers of tulips, roses, ranunculus, and Gerbera daisies added a regal layer to the tablescape. Adding to the inspiration, photographs of African American and other notable Hollywood starlets adorned each table with quotes. As a delicious treat, our sponsors, Myx Fusion Moscato, provided guests with a personal toast.






The panelists, entered just after guests took their seats and enjoyed the delectable treats provided by Prissy Sweet Cake Treats and Platinum Candy Buffet.

The star-studded panel featured Lifestyle Influencer and Entertainment Blogger Karen Civil, Celebrity Fashion Stylist Olori Swank, Lifestyle Specialist and CEO of The Brand Group Miss Diddy, and Professional Makeup Artist Shayla Mitchell. We were delighted to a special appearance by Grammy nominated Singer-songwriter Elle Varner. The day was filled with words of empowerment as the panelists shared their wisdom and experiences about business and entrepreneurship.


One of the takeaways from the panelist was from Karen Civil,

“When you’re the best, they have no choice.”

Her story, like majority of the panelists is about realizing your dream and working hard towards it. Being consistent in the continued forward movement of it. You want to be so consistent and so good at what you do that other will have not other choice but to bet on your and your abilities.

That’s the story of Hollywood Glam. Believe in your dreams and yourself because when you’re the best, others have no choice but to believe in you.
