Happy Halloween from SOA + our favorite horror flicks

Happy Halloween from SOA! We hope you have a frightfully-fun Halloween weekend and we hope its a safe one! Here are some of our favorite horror flicks to get you in the festive mood!

Candyman (1992):Definitely a classic that we still aren’t able to finish all the way through! Candyman is based on the short story “The Forbidden” by Clive Barker. This horror flick takes you on the scary journey of Candyman, an apparent ghost, filled with bees, who is also hook-handed and a killer who arrives on the scene whenever someone says his name five times in a mirror.

The Human Centipede (First Sequence) (2009): This is one of the movies that is for sure not for the faint of hearts. More creepier than scary, this movie takes you into the world of a demented surgeon that tries to create his own human centipede.

The Conjuring (2013): Delightfully scary, this movie tells the true story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, world famous paranormal investigators, who were called to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in a farmhouse in the middle of no where.

Children of the Corn (1984): Produced by the King of all horror and unusual,Stephen King, this horror flick is based on a short story from King’s Night Shift collection. This classic tells the tale of a couple who pass through a rural Nebraska town over taken by a cult of murderous children who follow an extremely creepy profit and leader named Isaac.

It (1990): This film definitely ruined the relationships of a lot 90′ s kids with clowns,I know it did for me. Another Stephen King production, this flick is a physiological horror based on Stephen Kings novel of the same name. This story revolves around an inter-dimensional (IT) predatory creature, which has the ability to transform itself into its prey’s worst nightmares.
