Mouth Party: Patriotic Dishes for the Fourth

No matter what state your are in there are a few recipes that bring us all together as a nation. Here are some of America’s favorites things to eat this Fourth of July!



 Patriotic Sweets

 Salute your flag with these American Flag inspired treats:

    Red , White, and Blue Cake Pops



What You’ll Need:

1 box Betty Crocker™ cake mix (any flavor)
Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
1 container (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped frosting (any flavor)
1 bag (14 oz) candy melts (any flavor)
1 teaspoon shortening
Craft sticks (flat wooden sticks with round ends)
Betty Crocker™ assorted candy sprinkles
Block of white plastic foam

All You’ll Need:

Simply cut fresh organic strawberries and your favorite white cheese.
Then arrange with fresh organic blueberries and raspberries, as shown above.

Here are the few dishes that any red blooded American just can not live with out this Fourth

Baby Back Ribs


What You’ll Need:

4 whole racks baby back pork ribs (5 to 6 pounds)
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1 10 ounce jar seedless blackberry jam
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons hot sauce, or more to taste

Triple Dipped Fried Chicken


What You’ll Need:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 egg yolks, beaten
1 1/2 cups beer or water
1 quart vegetable oil for frying
1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces

What You’ll Need:

1 1/2 pound(s) ground chuck or sirloin
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
1 large egg
4 slice(s) Cheddar cheese
1 large onion , sliced in rings
4 onion rolls, halved and toasted
1 large tomato, sliced
4 lettuce leaves
