Life Hack: 5 Ways to Keep Your Life Organized

There is a lot of chaos that goes on in the course of a day, from the office life, to school life, to your home life. And managing all the components of anyone’s life can literally drive a person crazy. We here at The SOA Brand know just how chaotic life can get and the only way to keep anything in order is to become organized. So here are five ways that you can  get your life together LITERALLY.

Plan it Out

Most successful people in life had a plan. They set a goal, they made the goal attainable by following that plan through or that specific path to get there. In life, on a daily you have to do the same thing. In essence plan your days out! Even if you do it weekly or daily map it out. Map out all of the tasks you need to get accomplished that week, the bills that are due that week and even the meals you want to prepare daily. By doing this you keep your life on a sort of track, that you have to stay on in order to head in the right direction.

Your Planner is your life

With mapping everything out you absolutely need to have a planner. A planner or a calender will do just fine but they have to at the epicenter of your life. In order to stay truly organized you have to live, eat and breathe your planner. Your planner should be the first thing you check in the morning and the last thing you flip through at night. You need a space to map out all of the goals and tasks that needs to be accomplished on a weekly/daily basis and this is what your planner/ calender is for. We suggest that which ever you choose whether a planner/ calendar make sure that it is small enough to fit in your purse or briefcase, your planner needs to be on you 24/7 in order for it to truly be beneficial to your life.

Time Block

Go back to middle school where you had a blocked schedule, you knew where you were going be at what time and where. This is what you need to do in your life. Block out your time in order to truly time manage. If you know your in the office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. you know there is no way you can schedule a workout in between then. You know that your life is virtually off limits between those hours, but from 5:30 p.m to 6 p.m. you can fit in a 30 minute ab routine.There is no confusion, you put your life on a schedule and you’re sticking to it. Always designate times of your day to specific tasks or goals that you are completing . There are 24 hours in a day and you control them, by controlling your time you make the rules not the day and at end of that day you’ll be able to say that you made the best of it.

Set Alarms!

To ensure that you stay on schedule utilize the alarm functions on your smart phones, they work wonders. You will never forget that something needed to be completed at a certain time, or that spur of the moment meeting you scheduled last night for today by setting an alarm. It’s easy and another way to keep your life on track with out overwhelming yourself.

Follow Through

The most important of staying organized is literally the hardest part, its following through. At the end of the day all the plans you’ve made, the alarms you’ve set, the time you’ve designated for certain tasks means nothing if you don’t actually complete them. To truly stay organized you have to make the promise to your self to actually complete the tasks and goals that you have set out for yourself. An easy way to ensure that you complete these daily or weekly tasks is reward to yourself! At the end of the day or the end of the week go through your planner and check off what you have completed. You can make a pact with yourself if you complete all or 90%of what you have set for yourself, you get rewarded. If you get these tasks done you get to cheat on your diet that day, buy those pair of shoes you’ve been wanting or treat yourself to nice a drink. But whatever you choose make sure its a reward you actually look forward to. After all of this organizing you’ll definitely deserve it!
