A Guide to Springtime Events: Food & Beverages

Suns out, birds are chirping, flowers are falling off the trees and what are you doing? I hope whatever it is; you are outdoors and enjoying this wonderful weather. Ever since we re-launched our brand, we have gone beyond just event planning. Our goal is to create a cultivated experience for each and every one of our clients, viewers, and supports. We told you guys that we were bringing something new to the game and here it is. Throughout the month of April we will be presenting our Guide to Springtime Events Series to everyone with advice, ideas, and suggestions on throwing a fabulous event for the spring.

This segment focuses on food and drinks. Now doesn’t that make you hungry? When we think about spring, the first thing that comes to mind is backyard barbequing with a couple of family, friends, and children running around. When thinking about catering for an event, there are a lot questions that must be answered. How many people to expect? What type of food would my guest be interested in eating? Should it be self-serve? Should we have people serve our guest? Seeing that this is an outdoor event we suggest the food be self-serve, but there must be someone there to monitor. I REPEAT, having someone there to monitor the guest can prevent many conflicts. I can definitely recollect many events where there have been fights and arguments at the food area. Since we are focusing our efforts on having this event outdoors, finger foods such as chicken fingers, cheese & crackers, and meatballs will be served just to warm the party up a little. The main entrees will consist of ribs, hamburgers, wings, crab cakes, chicken kabobs and corn on a cob just to name a few. Everybody knows that corn on a cob makes the day.

Drinks, Drinks, Drinks! Now a party is not a party without an open bar of course. It is only right to have an open bar with one of the best bartenders in town. A great signature drink is a Malibu Sunrise which consists of Malibu coconut rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and sugar for flavoring. Guest will be able to get drinks all night, but they must be careful because it can sneak up on you. Wine, beer, and other choices of liquor will be available to our guest free of charge, so we definitely want this event to be an amazing experience like no other. I know you probably thought that I forgot about the minors, but I didn’t. Non-alcoholic drinks such as soda, juice, and water will be available to those who are not of age. Keep in mind ids will be checked and underage drinking is not allowed at all. Matter fact, a Shirley temple can even be thrown in for those who want to do something different.
