Mouth Party: Crockpot Chicken Tacos

The Crockpot is a LIFE SAVER. Let me repeat that. The CROCKPOT IS A LIFE SAVER! When I made this meal last week, it was an extremely hectic day. I knew I wouldn’t have time to really cook like I wanted and I knew that I didn’t want to eat after 8 o’clock. As you may have noticed, I have been using the crockpot a lot more than I normally do…an indication of my busy schedule right now.

Think about it, you have your book club, some friends, or your spouse surprised you the night before with news their friends would be coming over and they’d like for you to save the day with your home cooking… Literally all you have to do is pop the ingredients in the crockpot and walk away. That’s IT!

Crockpot Chicken Tacos

Crockpot Chicken Tacos -SOA Event Concepts


2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 can chicken broth

1 packet low or no sodium taco seasoning

2 teaspoons Cumin

Dash of Kosher salt

Dash of black pepper

Dash of cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes


Turn Crockpot to low. Add chicken broth, half taco seasoning, Cumin, Kosher salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes together and stir until blended

Season chicken with last half of taco seasoning. Add to crockpot with broth.

Cook for 5-7 hours on low.

Take out of crockpot and shred chicken.

Serve with tortilla shells, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, salsa, and your favorite toppings!
