Thanksgiving is tomorrow and you already know we can not wait to stuff our bellies with turkey, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, oooooh and the stuffing. My mother in law makes THE BEST EVER mac & cheese and stuffing (I’d fight you to the death to prove this to you). One of the best things about Thanksgiving are the leftovers. As if you could possibly eat anymore, we have created a list of 6 non-sandwich Thanksgiving Leftover Ideas that you can use while you stand in line for Black Death Friday and we promise…it’s totally a party in your mouth!

2-3 cups shredded Thanksgiving turkey

1 can regular sized can of tomato sauce

1 cup of cooked red kidney beans

1 package of chili seasoning

1/2 cup to 1 cup of water

Salt & pepper

2 teaspoons onion powder

2 teaspoons garlic powder

2 teaspoons chili powder

Chopped Onions (optional)

Cheese and Sour Cream (optional)

In a large pot or dutch oven, add tomato sauce, water, beans, half of chili seasoning, and spices on low to medium heat. Once you’ve shredded the turkey breasts, add the other half of the chili seasoning. Add to pot and let simmer for about 30 minutes to an hour. Let cool for 10 minutes and serve with chopped onions and cheese for added deliciousness.

Turkey, Cranberry, Spinach Panini – in my defense, this is a panini…not a sandwich

2 slices of turkey breasts

dijon mustard

cranberry sauce or chutney

a few sprigs of spinach

asiago or romano cheese

Spread dijon mustard followed by cranberry sauce on inside of flatbread. Layer ingredients together, neatly. Butter or oil the inside of your griddle, George Foreman, or pan. Lay panini in the center and sear until cheese is melted and outside is golden, flip and repeat.

Sweet Potato Pie Ice Cream

See how the folks over at Mississippi Kitchen made their sweet potato ice cream. For an added bonus, add smashed pieces of sweet potato pie to the mix during the chill process.
